then it increased little by little. It was moonlight creeping into the bed through the window. I did not wait long and took a look at my wife, who was swimming in her blood. And there were traces of long nail wounds on the top of her chest. I started to fall back on the bed, moving away in shock. I tried to take advantage of the presence of moonlight to see what was around the bed. The shock was that the bed was actually floating in the middle of a lake of water. The moonlight does not seep through the window, as there is no window. Or even walls, there is no appearance of a house around me, only those beds floating on the waters of that lake. Above me there is a clear but dark sky whose darkness is broken only by moonlight. I noticed that sound again, those knocks on the wood, which became closer. Now, I tried to look from which direction that sound was coming, and I found that it was coming successively in different places on the bed. Woods were hitting the wood of the bed every now and then.
When I was trying to move on the bed carefully so as not to touch my wife's body, something pulled her off the bed into the lake forcefully and quickly. Then I heard her body being torn apart. There were two groups fighting to get it.
I sat in the middle of the bed, curled up on myself. My heart told me it was the end and I didn't know who. Any direction will attract me too, and my mind tries to disobey and repeats that this is just a nightmare, all of this is not real, nothing makes sense around me, and for a few moments I felt the weight of something climbing onto the bed next to me, I hid my face between my legs and I prayed to God to forgive me and have mercy on me if that was the case. It is the end. I prayed to God that I would not feel pain
I noticed the touches of thin fingers on my face, feeling me, then a whispering voice as if it came from afar.
My love, thank God, the temperature has decreased a lot. I thank God that your brother came to visit us at the right time. If he had not carried you and put you in cold water, your temperature would not have subsided now.
I tried to open my eyes, but with difficulty, and I saw the face of my beloved wife, bright and smiling, as she placed that piece of cloth over my forehead. I turned my head while listening to those successive beats, and they were nothing but the beats of the pen with which that doctor tapped on a wooden box in his hand. Then he lifted a piece of paper. He wrote it on top of the box and gave it to someone standing next to him, and it was none other than my brother. I sighed, thank God that everything I went through was nothing but a nightmare because of my high body temperature.
